Dear Sri Srinivasa Rao ji,
My name is Babu Gogineni, and I am a Radical Humanist, having been introduced to Roy’s ideas in my school days through my father’s library and having interacted with and worked with Justice tarkunde, Prof. Sib Narayan Ray, Prof. Amlan Datta, Sri Ravipudi Venkatadri, Dr. Indumati Parikh and many others . As part of my association with the Humanist movement, I have had the honour of being the Executive and International Director of the (now) London-based International Humanist and Ethical Union. (Roy was one of its founders elected as Vice President in absentia due to the accident in Missourie, and it was based for several decades in The Netherlands from its founding years onwards).
I have written MN Roy’s entry in one of the Encyclopaedias, and have written articles about MN Roy in French for various publications in France and Belgium. When I went to Mexico I spent time with the leading Roy scholar Dr. Eva Alexander Uchamany who also walked me to Roy’s former home – now converted into a high class exclusive night club, still called M.N. Roy. I went to Canton/Guanzhou and tried to start trying to trace Roy’s imprints there but with language being a problem I was not able to make much headway. In the Netherlands I traced some of the correspondence associated with Roy and the Dutch Communists etc. at the archives of the Institute for Social Sciences.
I am fascinated by the encyclopaedic overview you provide of MN Roy’s life and wanted to thank you for this extensive collection of information neutrally presented analysis of an extraordinary man.
I am now based in Australia (where people still remember the presence of Prof. Sub Narayan Ray who was prof. of South Asian Studies at the Uni. of Melbourne) and often write about Roy on my Facebook Account fb.com/skillgurubabu

Dear Srinivasa Rao ji,
Sadar Pranam. Do you plan to do a series about Veer Savarkar’s idea of Hinduism and Hindutva? I read your blog series about Hindu-Hindutva. It was great as it explained the Supreme Court’s judgment about Hindutva and also throughout the history of the word “Hindu” from the Persians to Greeks to Chinese to Arabs to British and how its connotation changed from an ethnic/cultural one to a religious one.
But can you please expand upon Veer Savarkar and how modern-day Hindutva has evolved to face the various challenges before it?
Also, I am very interested to know your views on Veer Savarkar.
Namaste.

Dear Sreenivasa Rao ji,
I am extremely elated to see, such a prompt reply from you. Thank you so much for giving me the details of Dr R Sathyanarayana! I shall definitely try to contact him asap.
I must say, your knowledge about the entire Kadi, Hadi and Kadi-Hadi mixed Vidya, is too too detailed. The anulom and vilom that you have explained at length, those 24 mantras, the in-depth Nabhi Vidya that you have explained so well!!! Who can believe that you are not a SriVidya Upasak?
I am sure, when you have recommended his name, he must be somebody great, with immense knowledge on the subject too. But it is your blogs, that will send the curious students to him 😊
Once again, may I take the opportunity to thank you, from the bottom of my heart! Your blog was such a pleasure to my heart’s spiritual quest!
I wish to take screenshots of all those 24 mantras and recite them once in a day, hoping for some success with the Devi Vidya 😊👍🏻
If you know of any particular mudra or chakra, that I should concentrate on, while reciting the mantras, please do reply to my email, with the details, dear sir!
May Devi bless you with abundance, both material and spiritual!!
Best Regards, Arti

I am sorry. I have been out of home for some time. And, also because of rather indifferent health, I had lost touch with the people in Mysore. It is truly sad that an erudite scholar like Dr. Satyanarayana passed away. May the Mother grant him peace.
Please carry on your Sadhana.
You are truly Blessed

Dear Sreenivasa Rao ji,
I tried going through the book of Anand Lahiri ji but could not find the rest of 16 mantras.
May I please request you to compile all the remaining 16 mantras, 12 from Raja Vidya and 4 from Nrpathi Vidya, please? The entire set of 40 will be complete and one can chant it everyday.
Besides, if you also know the chakras associated to the beejaksharas of the mantras, please do share! 🙏🏻
That will help the Sadhak to speed up the process. I tried searching for Nabhi Vidya mantras and found none but you, who has mentioned about it, on the net.

Dear Dr. Satish
Let me admit that I do not know much about the subjects you mentioned.
However, I can direct you to
The voluminous Rasa-Jala-Nidhi, spread over Four Volumes, based on numerous traditional texts on Ayurveda and Rasa-shastra
It is
Rasa-Jala-Nidhi or Ocean of Indian Chemistry and Alchemy, Compiled in Sanskrit (with English translation) by Rasacharya Kaviraj Bhudeb Mookerji; Published in Calcutta – 1926
In Chapter Seven of Volume Three of the work , from page 292 and onward, Sri Mookerji discusses about various types of poisons , their effects, remedies etc.
These are based on Sanskrit texts.
From page 310 onward , the treatments of poisons are enumerated.
These may perhaps interest you
Even otherwise, I suggest you may go through the contents of all the Four volumes
You may also read my blog Siddha and the way of the Rasa
I am not sure if these satisfy all your needs. But, I presume Dr.Mookerji’s work is a good place to start your exploration
Wish you Luck
Cheers and Regards

Dear Sreenivasa rao,
I read your article on Vrittikaras of Brahmasutra and the how Sri Sankara and Ramanuja chose the vrittikaras. It is very informative. Thanks for the detailed study.
What about Sri Madhvacharya’s brahmasutra interpretation? Which Vrittikara did he follow? Request your comment on the same.
Currently I am trying to summarise the Sutra difference between the three revered acharyas (Sankara – 555; Ramanuja – 545 & Madhvacharya – 564). Is there any historical fact behind the differences (Due to time gap)? Also need to understand the same from logical and siddhanta point of view.
What I heard that Mimamsa sutras contain 20 chapters. Currently we have 16 chapters (Karma kanda – 12 & Brahma kanda – 4) only and 4 (Devata kanta) are missing. Why it is so?

September 12, 2023 at 4:43 am
Dear Raghavendran
Pardon me for the inordinate delay in responding to your comment.
These days, my health has been rather indifferent .
As you noticed, I have not written about the commentaries on the Mimamsa Sutras by Revered Acharya Sri Madhva, for the simple reason that I was not very familiar with it Please pardon me.
***
Presently, the Mimamsa Sutra is said to be in two segments: the Purva (earlier or the first) Mimamsa compiled by Jaimini; and the Uttara (latter) Mimamsa ascribed to Badarayana.
There is a line of argument which asserts that Mimamsa Sutra was a single text and was having twenty chapters (vimshathy adhyayah) comprising twelve Chapters (Adhyayas) of Mimamsa dealing with the ritual aspects of the Vedas; four chapters of Devata Kanda or Sankarshana kanda addressing various deities; followed by four chapters of Mimamsa dealing with Upanishad doctrines.
The portion of twelve chapters dealing with rituals together with four chapters of Devata Kanda is known as Purva Mimamsa (Karma Kanda). And the remaining last four chapters dealing with Upanishads is known as Uttara Mimamsa (Jnana Kanda).
Sri Jayathirtha, a saint in the tradition of Sri Madhvacharya, provides the details of the Sutras of the Devatha Kanda (commencing with Athatho Daivi) , describing the nature and virtues of the Devatas , as in the Vedas.
This work is accepted by Shabaraswamin (commentator on Purva-Mimamsa-sutras) as also by the Acharyas.
